About Rags Drum
To encourage more and better criticism and research on animation, comics and games (ACG), and foster exchange among writers and researchers, Lab on Roof has decided to continue its ACG writing event with a second edition in 2021, under the name:

Pre-Festival Selection Results
After three months of submissions and judging, Lab on Roof announces the articles selected for the Pre-Festival and their authors. Both lists below are in no particular order.
Entrants Registered for Both the Pre-Festival and Post-Festival
The following 13 submissions were selected for the Pre-Festival, with their authors listed alongside them:

Entrants Registered for the Pre-Festival Only
The following two submissions were selected from entrants registered only for the Pre-Festival. Both articles have already been published on bilibili:
- 宫酒姬 “From Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind to Wily Beast and Weakest Creature: ‘Entrusting the World to an Idol’ amid Various Predicaments”
- 真紅様 “Starting with the Haruhi Series and ‘Sekaikei’: Some Ramblings on Postmodernity and ACGN Research”
Under the previously announced event rules, authors will receive RMB 200–300 for each submission selected for the Pre-Festival.
