Long story short:
Lab on Roof has largely fulfilled its historical role, and we’ve pretty much done all the stuff we could pull off. So, at the end of 2023, Lab on Roof, as a kind of dōjinshi,1 will suspend publication, cease producing original content, and close all its community group chats (if any of our friends have been hurt in the process, we are very sorry). If our past work has been of some help to you, that is heartening. Our heartfelt thanks to the friends who have helped Lab on Roof throughout its history. We hope the friends who come after us will each express their views, contribute all they can, and do more and do better.
Also, Lab on Roof’s social media accounts across platforms will remain—they will not be deleted—so you can browse past videos and text-and-image posts. If needed, we will also support some of our friends’ excellent work in the future by sharing and republishing it, among other means.
With that, we bid farewell to Lab on Roof’s nearly six-year history, with all its ups and downs, from 2018 to 2023. May you all stay safe, make progress, and be happy.
